Model Academy, the prestigious school of MIER, Jammu, successfully organised a two- day comprehensive workshop titled “Use of AI and IT Tools for Question Paper Framing” on 9th and 10th July 2025. This initiative aimed to empower educators with the knowledge and skills required to effectively integrate generative AI tools into teaching and assessment practices, thereby enhancing both productivity and creativity in the academic environment.

Dr. Mool Raj, Professor and Head, Centre for Educational Technology and Controller of Examinations, MIER College for his great expertise and clarity, introducing the participants to the fundamentals and intricacies of generative AI. He elaborated on a variety of topics including the concept and types of generative AI, applications of tools like ChatGPT and Google Gemini, and their role in developing tailored lesson plans, quizzes, and improved assessment frameworks. An important focus of the sessions was on ethical considerations, including plagiarism, malpractice, and content authenticity. He also discussed government initiatives like e-Pathshala and emphasized the need for educators to adapt to technological advancements to remain effective and relevant in modern classrooms.
Mr. Vikas Katal, incharge IT reiterated the importance of leveraging AI for transformative learning experiences. The two-day event also included practical demonstrations, collaborative tasks, and an open Q&A session where teachers discussed the challenges they face while setting question papers and sought actionable solutions using AI tools.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Ms. Vinita Gupta, TGT Computer Science, who expressed sincere appreciation to the resource person, school leadership, and the participating faculty for their enthusiastic engagement. The entire training programme was meticulously executed under the able guidance of Ms. Divya Rathore, Training Incharge, whose organizational acumen and commitment ensured the program’s resounding success. Through this initiative, Model Academy reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a technologically empowered teaching fraternity equipped to meet the dynamic demands of 21st-century education.
