


Model Academy, conducted a capacity building programme for teachers on
July 04, 2025, titled focusing on the theme: “Effective Pedagogies and Outcome-Based Education.” The session was a vital part of the school’s continuous professional development initiative aimed at enhancing teaching standards and aligning classroom practices with modern educational outcomes.
The programme commenced with a formal welcome address by Mrs. Sheetal, Convener Examination Centre, who emphasized the importance of evolving as educators to meet the needs of 21st-century learners. She encouraged faculty members to adopt student-centric methodologies, embrace digital tools, and focus on delivering meaningful, measurable learning outcomes.
The Resource person for the session was Mr. J. K. Dhiman, vice principal Model
Academy an acclaimed educationist and pedagogy expert. His presentation focused on practical strategies for implementing outcome-based education through effective pedagogical approaches such as project-based learning, formative assessment, differentiated instruction, and experiential learning.
Teachers participated enthusiastically in hands-on activities, group discussions, and case studies. The interactive nature of the workshop helped bridge the gap between theory and classroom application. The workshop focused on Competency- based Education, thereby motivating students to become lifelong learners, equipped with knowledge, competence, and skills. He emphasized that lesson plans developed by faculty members must have clarity in general and specific objectives, along with the various methodologies, teaching aids and learning styles, to enable students to learn successfully and fruitfully.
Mr Dhiman emphasised that pedagogy plays an important role to help teachers understand the best ways to conduct a classroom. It gives them insights into how students learn diverse topics so that they can conduct lessons to suit their needs. It aims to improve the quality of education for students.
Overall, the workshop was extremely interactive and informative. The session also included a refreshing yoga segment that energized the participants. Faculty members actively took part in guided breathing and stretching exercises. The yoga session helped promote mindfulness and physical well-being. Participants appreciated the inclusion of yoga for holistic wellness.
The programme was efficaciously coordinated by Ms. Divya Rathore, a formal vote of thanks was presented by Mrs. Samta Dogra. The training left a lasting impact, reinforcing the school’s commitment to educational excellence and continuous teacher development.
