In an effort to work and adapt to the new methodologies that are most suitable for children, Model Academy, the prestigious school of MIER organised a teachers training programme on Competency Based Assessment on 15th July '23. The orientation featured an eminent educationist, CBSE master trainer and Principal, G.D Goenka School, Jammu, Mr. Arundum Roy Choudhury.
The objective was to improve the knowledge, skills and abilities of teachers to meet the changing needs of their students and the education system.
Mr. Chowdhary said that CBA are opportunities created for students to apply the skills and methods they have learned in their lessons. He further highlighted different strategies involved in framing assessments for all levels.
Mr. Pramod kumar Srivastava, Principal said that teachers training is a major force behind a successful competency based assessment implementation. Teachers need to develop skills of how to assess students and customise learning experience accordingly.
Overall the training provided valuable insight and practical strategies for the teachers to incorporate the vision and principles of NEP 2020, into their classroom empowering them to nurture the students intellectual curiosity and holistic growth.
