INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

"Let's salute the martyrs for the sacrifices they made and thank them for giving us our freedom."
With the covid-19 pandemic looming large the students of Model Academy, the prestigious school of MIER went virtual, letting their patriotic spirits soar high like never before.The modelites set an example that no kind of impediment could stop them from paying tributes to their nation.
Marking the freedom and glory of the nation, the school celebrated 75th Independence Day with great gusto and patriotic zeal. An assemblage of events took place ranging from speeches, patriotic songs, dances and special performances by parents as well.
The theme of this year’s Independence Day 2021 is 'Nation first, Always first.'
The ocassion was graced by Dr. Adit Gupta, Director MIER as the Chief Guest and Mrs. Rupa Gupta, Joint Director as the Guest of honour. Other dignitaries present were Dr. Pramod Kumar Srivastava, Principal, Mr.J.K Dhiman Vice-Principal, Manager Academics, faculty members, parents and students.
Dr.Adit Gupta in his address applauded the efforts of the students, teachers and parents for their marvellous performance. He inspired the modelites to believe in humanity, compassion and selfless service of mankind. Dr. Gupta further said that youth are required to work on glorious future where India will once again conquer the world by continuously evolving on all fronts especially areas of science and technology.
Dr. Pramod Kumar Srivastava congratulated the students and teachers and remarked that this day us with lots of emotions, it reminds us of the pain of being enslaved, of the strength in unity, it defines sacrifices, it gives us an example that some wars can be won with non- violence, it makes us value not cherish the freedom we have today.
Indeed it was a day of elation, a day of love and respect for the country, instilling in the modelites the values of reverence for the gift of freedom by the great country.
The programme was meticulously anchored by Rakshita and Amrita.
Welcome address was presented by Marushika Suri whereas vote of thanks was proposed by Khyrul Nisa.
The programme was coordinated and conceptualised by Mrs. Manju Vali, Convener CCA, Mrs. Samta Dogra and Mrs. Suman Singh.
