The day that recognises the essence of a mother was celebrated in huge spirits and merriment at Model Academy, the prestigious school of MIER. The theme of the programme was "My Mom, my life."
The occasion was graced by Dr.Renu Gupta, Chairperson MIER as the Chief guest while Dr.Adit Gupta, Director MIER and Mrs.Rupa Gupta,Joint Director MIER as the guest of honour and special guest respectively. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Mr.Pramod Kumar Srivastava Principal, Mr.J.K Dhiman Vice- Principal, HOD'S of various departments, teachers and illustrious parents.
Audience was entertained by myriad presentations by the students and parents comprising of shayari, songs,art work,dance performances and character enactments, which mesmerised the the august gathering. All the performances exalted the mother as a God,teacher,friend and guide.
Dr.Renu Gupta in her address congratulated the mothers and appreciated the efforts put in by parents and students in making the program a big success. She further said that God himself is the testimony to the great love of a mother and the sacrifices she does. She is an architect of her children's dreams and she builds them by putting in the best ingredients.
Mr.Srivastava congratulated everyone on the occasion and said that mother is an epitome of love, affection,sacrifice and generosity.
Mr.Dhiman in his inspirational speech said that mothers love does not set with the sun,it blankets one all through the night.
The programme was anchored by Aditya Raina and Nandini Sharma. Welcome address was presented by Kritarth Gupta and vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs.Samta Dogra.
