MODEL ACADEMY CELEBRATES WORLD BOOK DAY.

To provide a propitious environment where the children would think out of the box and have a great learning experience, Model Academy, the prestigious school of MIER celebrated World Book Day on the theme “You are a Reader “with full zeal and enthusiasm. The event was a celebration of authors, books, characters, and reading.
The objective was to promote the importance of reading, lifelong love for books and encourage reading habits instead of resorting to online media for every solution.
In this context a special assembly was organised wherein students and teachers participated in numerous engrossing activities like, weave a story, my favourite book character that aimed at honing their communication skills. Mrs. Renu Sharma and Mrs. Sunita Badayal librarians apprised the students about the history of the day and pleasure of reading books. Story telling session was conducted in the primary wing. Innovative book covers were also designed by the students of senior department.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal, Dr Pramod Kumar Srivastava encouraged the students to become avid readers and to constantly endeavour to enhance their vocabulary. Vice-Principal, Mr. J.K.Dhiman said, “Reading is an investment, which has great returns and books are our true friends. The magic of books has been there since time immemorial. Students must be encouraged to read as much as they can which will add magic to their lives.”
The event was coordinated by Mrs. Manju vali, Convener, Mrs Nisha Arora, and Mrs Mahak Gupta, incharges of Newton House.
