SPIC MACAY

Model Academy, the prestigious school of MIER under the aegis of SPIC MACAY hosted a delightful classical music afternoon on a virtual platform.
Padma Bushan Pandit Nayan Gosh ji, celebrity with a unique musical dimension was the artist of the day. He is an acclaimed artist who is known world wide for being the only maestro with a superlative command on two diverse instruments, the tabla and sitar. He was accompanied by his son Ishaan Gosh.
The objective of SPIC MACAY is to enrich the quality of formal education by increasing awareness about different aspects of Indian heritage and also inspire the young minds to imbibe the values embedded in it.
Speaking on the occasion Pandit ji said that SPIC MACAY seeks to inspire youth through experiencing the mysticism embodied in the rich and heterogeneous cultural tapestry of India.
In his address Dr. Pramod Kumar Srivastava, Principal applauded the efforts of the organisation for taking education beyond classroom learning. He further added that our rich and varied heritage has a profound power to help build our nation and also motivates us to preserve and promote it amongst the youth who can in turn further beautify it with their creativity.
The interaction between the illustrious artist and the young learners was interesting, informative and delightful. Approximately 200 students participated in the event.
The programme was anchored by Armaan Gupta ,Triaksha and Simrah and was coordinated by Mrs. Manju Vali Convener CCA.
