The Eco Club of Model Academy, the prestigious school of MIER ardently celebrated Environment Day on a virtual platform. A plethora of innovative and exciting activities were organised by the green warriors of the school.
The theme of this year's event is 'Restore your Earth.' The objective is to appreciate the abundance resources of our planet and it's protection.
The occasion was graced by Mrs.Rupa Gupta, Joint Director MIER as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Mr.Pramod Kumar Srivastava,Principal, Mr. J.K Dhiman Vice-Principal, HOD'S of various departments, teachers, parents and students.
Contributing to the theme, the students made colourful posters gave speeches, sang environment related songs as well as created best out of the waste raising concern about pollution in today’s world.
Speaking on the occasion Mrs. Rupa Gupta lauded the club for their splendid educative presentation. She further said that our planet is an astounding abode, but it needs our help to strive.
Mr.Srivastava congratulated the club members for the efforts they put in for presenting their concerns and creating awareness about saving our Earth. He said that global warming is the root cause of environmental crisis that the world is facing. Therefore, it is our duty to protect our environment.
Mr.Dhiman in his inspirational speech said that for environment to change, positive efforts have to be made and each one of us must help in this initative.
The event was anchored by Tarushi Sharma and
vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs.Poonam Gupta Incharge Eco Club.The event was conceptualised and coordinated by Mrs.Manju Vali, Convener CCA and Mrs.Rosy Gupta Incharge Eco club Residency Road School.
