ECO Club’s Educational Trip to Surinsar Wetland

The Eco Club members of Model Academy embarked on an educational journey to Surinsar to gain practical insights into the concept of wetlands. Ms. Poonam Gupta, the Convener, took the opportunity to elucidate the significance of wetlands to the students.
During the trip, Ms. Gupta emphasised that wetlands are often referred to as "Earth's kidneys" due to their remarkable capacity to filter pollutants from the water flowing through them. The practical experience provided the students with a tangible understanding of the vital role wetlands play in maintaining ecological balance.
The trip proved to be a success, contributing to the eco club members' knowledge and fostering a heightened sense of responsibility towards the preservation of wetlands. Such experiential learning initiatives are crucial in instilling environmental awareness and nurturing a commitment to conservation among students.
