MODEL ACADEMY CELEBRATES WORLD HERITAGE DAY.

The Heritage Club of Model Academy, the prestigious school of MIER observed April 18, as the world heritage day. The objective was to sensitize the students about the importance of diversity of cultural heritage and its preservation for future generations.
The theme of World Heritage Day 2022 is “Heritage and Climate.”The aim is to highlight how heritage can be a source of knowledge to fight climate change.
In this connection a special assembly was organised wherein students and teachers talked about the true meaning of heritage, its importance and the need
of its preservation. Keeping the theme in mind for this year, students of senior wing prepared a power point presentation on different world heritage sites that are in danger and also highlighted the need to preserve them. Children were familiarised with the rich cultural heritage along with the existing diversification worldwide, and how we can work towards protecting and conserving it.
Principal, Dr Pramod kumar Srivastava urged students to preserve heritage sites and cherish them as the foreteller of the past.
The programme was coordinated by Mrs. Manju Vali, Mrs.Preeti Peer in-charge heritage club and Mrs. Mahak and Mrs. Nisha in-charges of Newton House.
