Pratham and Dwitiya Sopan Camp

Model Academy School organised Pratham and Dwitiya Sopan Camp for Scouts and Guides
The Bharat Scouts and Guides wing of Model Academy successfully organized the Pratham and Dwitiya Sopan Camp from May 28 to 30 at the MIER Campus, providing a dynamic platform for young Scouts and Guides to learn, grow, and lead.
The camp was formally inaugurated by Mr. Pramod Kumar Srivastava, Principal, and Mr. J.K. Dhiman, Vice Principal of the school. A total of 62 students — 32 Scouts and 30 Guides — enthusiastically took part in the camp under the able mentorship of Ms. Veena Vaid and Mr. Imran.
The three-day camp was packed with engaging and skill-building activities such as knotting, flag procedures, BP6 exercises, rope work, patrol system, the court of honour, first aid, and camp signs. These sessions offered participants hands-on learning experiences while instilling values of discipline, teamwork, and leadership.
To observe World No Tobacco Day on May 30, a special painting activity was held, raising awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco and encouraging healthy living choices.
Adding further depth to the camp, two Rovers from the State Headquarters — Krishna Nischal and Tanmay Pandotra — joined the sessions. A highlight of the camp was the impactful session on Youth-Led Action on Climate Change (YLACC) conducted by a National Master Trainer (NMT), which emphasized environmental awareness and the importance of sustainable practices.
Reflecting on the success of the camp, Mrs. Rupa Gupta, Joint Director of MIER, said, “Such camps play a pivotal role in shaping responsible, skilled, and socially aware citizens. We are proud of our Scouts and Guides for embracing these values with enthusiasm and commitment.”
The camp concluded on a high note, leaving participants enriched with life skills, a stronger sense of responsibility, and renewed enthusiasm for community service.
