Visit to Dogra Art Museum

In celebration of World Heritage Day, observed globally on April 18th, students of Model Academy embarked on an educational and culturally enriching visit to the Dogra Art Museum at Mubarak Mandi, Jammu. The visit was organised by the Department of Archives, Archaeology and Museums, Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
As part of the celebration, an awareness programme was held to enlighten students on the crucial role museums play in preserving historical artefacts and promoting cultural heritage. The event highlighted the significance of safeguarding our heritage, fostering a deeper connection with the past, and nurturing a sense of responsibility towards future generations.
During the guided tour, students explored a remarkable collection of artefacts reflecting the rich cultural legacy of Jammu and Kashmir. Each exhibit offered insights into the region’s vibrant history, traditions, and the importance of heritage conservation. The visit served as a meaningful learning experience, deepening students’ appreciation for their cultural roots.
The students were accompanied by Ms. Poonam Satwah and Mr. Khem, who helped facilitate the visit.
