Model Academy Celebrates Baisakhi with Joy and Cultural Fervour

Model Academy celebrated the vibrant festival of Baisakhi with immense enthusiasm on April 14, 2025. A special morning assembly was organized to commemorate the cultural and historical significance of the festival, which marks the harvest season and the formation of the Khalsa.
The celebration began with a captivating performance by primary students, followed by a soulful Hindi kavita recitation by Akaisha of Class 6. Traditional Punjabi folk dances, melodious group songs, and an insightful speech by Shaurya Verma of Class 8 on the importance of Baisakhi added charm and meaning to the event. The school premises were adorned with colorful decorations, reflecting the joy and spirit of the festival.
Principal Mr. Pramod Kumar Srivastava addressed the gathering, highlighting the values of hard work, gratitude, and unity that Baisakhi stands for.
The event concluded with warm wishes for prosperity and happiness for all. It not only deepened the students’ understanding of cultural heritage but also fostered a strong sense of community.
The program was successfully coordinated by members of Newton House. Ms. Nisha Arora, Convener of CCA, along with Co-Conveners Ms. Neetu Bhardwaj and Ms. Nitika Sharma, led the planning and execution. Special thanks to Ms. Mohini, Ms. Vertika, Mr khem and Mr. Vivek from the CCA Department for preparing the students and ensuring a memorable celebration.
