Teachers' Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Model Academy, the prestigious school of MIER.
The program began with the garlanding and offering of floral tributes to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the great educationist and former President of India. To commemorate the occasion, a variety of performances took place, including *Guru Vandana*, group songs, and traditional Dogri folk dance.
Students from both wings of MIER actively participated in the celebration.
Jeeya Sawhney from the primary wing beautifully recited a poem, expressing heartfelt love and respect for teachers. One of the highlights was a captivating instrumental guitar performance by the 11th-grade students, which stole the show. The students expressed their deep gratitude towards their teachers for their unwavering support in shaping their personalities and helping them become capable and responsible individuals.
In her address, Chairperson, Dr. Renu Gupta appreciated the teachers' efforts in playing a pivotal role in the holistic development of every student. Director MIER, Dr. Adit Gupta commended the teachers for their exemplary contribution to the growth of the school. Mrs. Rupa Gupta, Joint Director, sent her special blessings for the occasion. Principal and vice principal, Mr. Pramod Srivastava and Mr. J.K. Dhiman also praised the invaluable role teachers play in students' lives.
The event was expertly anchored by Anshleen Kour and Aman Khajuria. The 12th-grade students took on the responsibility of mock teaching with great dedication.
The program was thoughtfully conceptualized and coordinated by Ms. Sakshi and Ms. Swati (Darwin House), Mr. Vivek Mohan, Mr. Khem, Ms. Vertika Sharma, and Ms. Mohini Thapa (Cultural Dept.). The event was harmonized by Ms. Nisha Arora (Convener) and Ms. Neetu Bhardwaj (Co-Convener).
