Model Academy, the prestigious school of MIER organised an inter school contemporary group dance competition under banner of Jammu Sahodhya School Complex.
Top 22 CBSE schools of Jammu participated in the event. The theme of the competition was from “Darkness to Light.”
The occasion was graced by Dr kunal Anand, Vice-President Jammu Sahodhya and Principal DPS Udhampur as the Guest of Honour.
The programme commenced with lighting of lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana by the choir of Model Academy.
A state of excitement, awe and joy filled the auditorium as the vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances and created a powerful rapport with the audience through their rhythmic movements, facial expressions, eye contact and dazzling smiles.
The programme was judged by a panel of eminent choreographers of Jammu, Mrs. Poonam Handa, Mr.Raj Sabhgotra and Mr. Tarun Sayal.
First place was bagged by Model Academy, second place went to Doon International School and the third place was bagged by APS Akhnoor.
Consolation prizes were bagged by Jk Public School kunjwani, DPS Udhampur and Jammu Sanskriti school.
Welcome speech was presented by Khyrul Nissa, Head Girl of the school and vote of thanks was proposed by Saksham Khajuria, Head Boy.
The event was anchored by Mrigank Salathia and coordinated by Mrs. Manju Vali, Ms. Mohini Thappa and cultural department.
