AZADI KA MAHOTSAV

Model Academy, the prestigious school of MIER marked ''Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'' with much gaiety and alarcity. The event was set in motion with a large number of students and teachers participating in the 75th Independence Day celebration.
The event witnessed an august gathering comprising of Chief Guest, Mrs. Rupa Gupta, Joint Director MIER, Dr P.k.Srivastava, Principal, Mr. J.k Dhiman, Vice Principal, Academic Managers, Mrs. Manjari Sehgal, Mrs. Chanda Gupta, faculty members and students.
The programme began with a soulful rendition by Mrs.Vertika, Mr.Vivek Mohan and Mr.khem kumar teachers of music department, followed by group songs, poetic tributes and patriotic group dance by the students of different wings of the school.
Mrs. Rupa Gupta praised the children and staff for their mesmerising performances. She further enlightened the children about Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and said that the festival of 75 years of independence not only reflects the spirit of freedom struggle but also offer a tribute to the martyrs. It is a pledge and resolve taken by everyone to build India of their dreams. She urged everyone to fulfil government of India’s initiative of ''Har Ghar Tiranga'' and motivated the students to place the tricolour flag at the highest position in their homes. Dr. Adit Gupta, Director MIER in his message appreciated the consistent endeavours of the armed forces in protecting our country bravely. He urged students to realize, understand and cherish our coveted freedom and work towards a progressive nation. He extended his warm greetings on the occasion. The hon’ble Chairperson, Dr. Renu Gupta, also sent her greetings to the teachers, students and parents on the occasion.
Principal, Dr Pramod kumar Srivastava, expressed his pride in the rich cultural legacy of the country and urged every student to work with honesty and dedication so that our nation soars to monumental height.
Mr. J.K Dhiman, Vice Principal in his inspirational message motivated the students to grow up as responsible and conscientious citizens of India.
Welcome address and vote of thanks was presented by khyrul Nissa, Head girl and Saksham Sharma, Head boy of the school.
The whole programme was conceptualised and coordinated by Mrs. Manju Vali, convener co-curricular committee.
